My Kid's and My Niece's.

For the past couple of years my mom has been taking my brother's girl's to get their pictures done for my sister-in-law for her birthday.  This year I offered to do it because I got an amazing camera from Nathan for my birthday and I have always loved photography.  I thought that maybe I could get a few great pictures, save my mom some money and make some fun memories for the kid's.  We went to Wilson Park in Milan and then to a historical house called The Hack House in Milan as well.  After 2-3 hours and almost 200 pictures later, these are my favorites.  I couldn't have been happier with how they turned out and I think my sister-in-law was pretty happy with the result.  I had them all copied and put into an album for her for her birthday.  Really...the kid's made it easy.  See for yourself how adorable they all are!
All 5 of them on the Hack House porch.  Such a beautiful place!

We were trying to make them laugh and as you can see something was kind of funny.  It was my mom making fart noises in order to get some giggles out of them.  The little ones thought it was hilarious!
The coolest tree in the world, I think.  Wilson Park.

Sweet Sofia, 3 years old.
Sweet Simone, 6 years old.
This is my favorite of Sofie.

Sofia has been known to say, "I love McDonald's and I love Landon!"  ha!  Yes, she does!

One more of Rylie

Not sure how I missed this photo when I was going through and editing some of the other ones that we took from this day.  She is so photogenic and such a natural beauty!  I just love this picture!

Landon turns 10!

Aug. 1, 2010...by boogie bear turns 10!
When I asked him where he wanted to go for lunch...this is where he picked.  We don't have a Sonic close to our house back home, so this was a real treat.  He got a hotdog, mozzarella sticks and a cherry slushie.  Nothing like some good, healthy eating!!!  ha!
The card that my parents got him.  If you know Landon, you know that he loves pickles.  He talks about pickles (and pie) all of the time.  In first grade I remember this little girl in his class say to me, "Landon is so funny!  He talks about pickles a lot!"  He thought it was neat that Granny and Papa found a pickle card.
My mom gave me their gift to bring to Alabama with us so that he could open it on his actual birthday.  He was so excited when he saw that they got him an ipod/radio/charger.  He's been wanting one so bad!
This skater hat is also something that he's been asking for.  That, and skinny jeans.  I, personally, don't like these hats with the flat rim, but it's what a lot of boys are wearing.  I guess I didn't ask if my parents liked my MCHammer pants or my 80's style boofy hair, right?  He does look pretty cute in it!  Huh?  He also got a new skateboard, new shoes (Etnie's), 2 video games and some clothes.  Nathan took him and two friends (Michael and Haleigh) to play paintball before we left for Alabama.  That was his party.  They had a blast!
Everytime we'd go to Sam's Club about a month before his birthday, Landon would look at the cakes and cupcakes to tell me what he wanted for his birthday dessert.  He saw some of these and said how good they looked.  I found these at Publix close to Nathan's apartment and decided to get them for his birthday. The frosting on top made them so rich that they were almosts disgusting.  He only took one bite and couldn't eat anymore.  We ended up throwing the rest away.  Oh well!
Make a wish, buddy!  You're an awesome kid and I hope all of your wishes come true!  We are so proud of you!

Granny and Papa's Present.

My parents gave me Owen's gift to save and give to him on his actual birthday since we were going to be out of state.  He was so excited to see what he got!
Iron Man is awesome!

When he opened the gift this is what he saw...and he really thought it was icecream!  Even though it had been sitting in the closet for 3 weeks prior to this day.  I love how innocent minds think!
Inside the icecream box was this other gift.
...and another...
until he finally saw what the gift was!  and then...
he "fake" passed out!  ha!
Toy Story 3 for the PS3!!!
Can you tell he's excited?  He was so happy to finally get this game!  Granny's and Papa's ROCK!

Owen's birthday, Part 2.

Owen, with the awesome party hat that Rylie made for him, Landon, daddy and Rylie.
Superhero TRIO blocks!  Had a hard time finding these guys, but we got Superman, Penguin, Batman and Mr. Freeze online from Toys R Us.  He was so excited!!!
It's a Pillow, It's a Pet...it's a Pillow Pet!  He has a little dalmation at home named Rocky, so he said this one was going to be Rocky 2.
Who doesn't love Ben 10???
More TRIO blocks.
Siblings!
His new build-a-bear "Buzz" frog and pillow pet.
My amazing homemade cake...looks like a 5 yr. old made it, huh?  ha!

Nathan and I remember how much we loved these as kid's...fun to see how much our kid's love them too!
The icecream that Owen picked out.  He said it was...YUMMY!

We hope all of your dreams come true!!!  Happy 5th Birthday Owen!!!
