My parents gave me Owen's gift to save and give to him on his actual birthday since we were going to be out of state.  He was so excited to see what he got!

When he opened the gift this is what he saw...and he really thought it was icecream!  Even though it had been sitting in the closet for 3 weeks prior to this day.  I love how innocent minds think!

Superhero TRIO blocks!  Had a hard time finding these guys, but we got Superman, Penguin, Batman and Mr. Freeze online from Toys R Us.  He was so excited!!!

It's a Pillow, It's a Pet...it's a Pillow Pet!  He has a little dalmation at home named Rocky, so he said this one was going to be Rocky 2.

Owen's 5th Birthday!

Owen woke up this morning and I said, "Happy Birthday sweetie!"  He said, "thank you, mom!  HEY...my voice is the same!"  When I asked him what he was talking about he said, "Landon told me that when I get older that my voice will be different.  I thought that when I woke up and I wasn't 4 anymore that I would sound different."  He's so precious!  ha!

Owen woke up to birthday balloons all over the apartment front room!

 He got lots of phonecalls...one from daddy, one from uncle Clint, one from Aunt Marina and his cousin's and one from Granny and Papa!

He got a balloon and a hat...they even wished him a happy birthday over the intercom.  We met a lady down one of the toy aisles who told Owen it was her birthday too!  He thought that was neat!  We also went to Burger King for lunch for icee's and the new Cat & Dog toys in the kid's meals.  He was a little bummed when he found out that they didn't have those toys yet, but was happy to hear that they had Spongebob toys instead! 

This is what he picked out at the store...Kung Zhu pets.  They roll around and talk and make noises.  Cute!

Rylie's new haircut...

She didn't want to blow dry it first, but you can still tell how cute it looks!  We went to the mall a couple of days ago and she asked if she could get it cut.  On the way out of the mall her and Landon were racing to get outside when all of a sudden she's frantically grabbing at her hair.  A second later she starts crying and ran back into the mall.  A bee must've loved her hair as much as she did...only it stung her when she tried to get it out on her pinky finger.  Poor kid!  At least she looked cute, right?

More Alabama Fun...

Owen has turned into the Cannonball King in a matter of a day!  When we first got here 3 weeks ago he wouldn't even put his face in the water.  Slowly, he put his mask on and got more brave.  Pretty soon he was going under the water and diving for pennies or dive sticks.  Then, we encouraged him to jump off of the edge at the more shallow end.  At first, he wouldn't do it, but once he did it he didn't stop.  Once he was comfortable with it there was no turning back.  Now he runs and jumps and turns his little body into a cannonball and thinks it's the coolest thing...ever!  Oh, and he's also doing somer saults under the water as well!  I'm so proud of his progress!!!

I think this is so fun!!!

Landon, fixing his hair...what else is new?

This is a small spray area that we found last time we were here.  Owen loved it!  Landon was okay with it.  Rylie...well, Rylie was being how Rylie is with most things lately...BORED!  It's not too far from our apartment here and it's a change from the normal routine of going to the pool everyday.  There is one big spray that comes out of the center of this brick-paved circle and then a bunch of little ones around it.

Landon stepped on one of the small sprayers and told Owen to come over to him.  Then, he let it go and it went right in his face...NOT NICE!!  Poor Owen!
