At the welcome center coming into Alabama. After almost 12 hours...we're here!!!
Sunset's in the south are so pretty!Owen at the playground at the apartment where we're staying for a month.
He wanted a photo with this dog we met. Her name is Andy and she's a Katrina survivor. Her owner (to the left) says all they know is that she was found with a leather collar on...and fat. ha! She does this random barking thing which the vet says could be from the trauma of the hurricane. Otherwise, she's very sweet!
Our handsome guys in the hot tub at the apartment. Owen says that the pool is the "hot tub" and the hot tub is the pool because the water in the pool is warmer. He's so silly. But, it's true.
The kid's the first day at the pool. We've actually had it all to ourselves a few times. The average temperature is about 100 degree's. The pool has been used every day by us!
Owen learned how to swim all by himself the first few days we were here. He was so proud of himself!
He also decided to put his head under water and then realized that he could swim underwater too! This is a pretty big deal seeing that in the Spring he wouldn't even put his face in the water at swim lessons. He's going to go back to lessons in the fall and his teachers are going to be so proud of him! He just loves to swim and I'm pretty sure he'd do it all day if we'd let him. Hard to believe that 6 years ago Rylie and Landon learned how to swim at this very, same pool...before Owen was even thought of.
